Pres. Day Motorcycle trip

Nolan (my brother in law) and I headed out at 6:00 a.m. to go riding at Stonyford. This is a national forest area with a ton of trails.

The trip was going well until we got about 45 minutes away and the truck started acting up. I think the transmission was slipping??

We decided to continue after it started running fine again.

Left is a picture heading into the mountains. If you click on the picture I think it will enlarge and you can see a trail going up the middle of the mountain. This is crackerbox trail.

The campground was packed with RV's, probably more packed than I have ever seen it.

We arrived just fine and had a great ride. We rode about 30 miles which is not a ton, but they were quality miles. Here are some pictures from the day.

Most of these pictures are of a hill climb called white face. These pictures do no justice for how steep this hill is. It is a difficult hill. When my brother Scott was down for MLK weekend he made it up his first try. Pretty impressive. The single picture in the middle is Nolan going through a puddle and Cheryl following right behind. Well Cheryl got soaked with muddy water and ruined her shirt. Wouldn't be the first time that has happened.

Scott Troop checked our tranny oil before we left.

It checked out fine so we headed out. We made it back with no problems. I guess Nolan needs to get his truck into the Tranny shop. He just had it overhauled 2 moths ago.
