It Snowed in Woodland

Today was some of the strangest weather I have seen in some time. It has snowed here before, but in december on a cold day. It was not all that cold out when it was snowing and the sun was shining brightly.

No, that is not dandruff on my jacket. That is snow! I do not have enough hair for dandruff. There were some beautiful rainbows. You could actually see both ends. I asked the boys if they knew what rainbows mean. We talked about the promise God made that he would never flood the earth again. When Cody spotted The double rainbow he said that means God must really love us.

It should send updates daily if there are any new posts. Let me know if it works.

When Jeff decided to create this family blog and needed a family photo for our profile we only had one photo of the entire family, and it was not a good one. Only half of little Sasha's head was in the photo. We used it anyway because it was the only photo we had. We have probably taken a thousand pictures of Sasha and the boys since Sasha was born but we just had not made an effort to get a good family shot. Today I decided a family photo was long overdue. After church we called grandpa and asked him to come take a photo for our blog while we were all still in church clothes. Being the nice guy he is he came right over. As you can see above Sasha was very happy to see her grandpa. I think she already has him wrapped around her little finger!

Cody- 9 years old, likes to ride his Heeleys, his skateboard, his bike and his roller blades. He is very social, likes to have friends over. He loves to help with Sasha and takes pride in being very good with babies.
Sasha- 11 1/2 weeks old. She likes to be held constantly (and that is the way mom likes it), she smiles a lot, sleeps a lot and melts every ones hearts. She runs the show!
Taylor- 7 years old, likes to be goofy, likes to follow Cody around on skateboard, roller blades..., he really loves video games. He is a sweetie pie!!!
Corinna and Jeff (both 31) .

Fun in the Mud

Leave it to Cody and Taylor to find every mud puddle around. Luckily they clean up well.

Sutter's Fort trip

Cody's school gets to take the fourth graders on a special field trip every year. They get to go to Sutter's fort for an overnight field trip. It is all in full costume and is quite an event. I volunteered this year to be an adult helper and got to spend the night as well. Each child had to do a report on an actual settler that was at the fort. Then they play that character when they go there. Cody was Caleb Greenwood, the cool thing was that Caleb was an actual ancestor of Cody.

It was very fun, but was very hard work. They had story tellers and singers and the kids danced and had a lot of fun.

Pres. Day Motorcycle trip

Nolan (my brother in law) and I headed out at 6:00 a.m. to go riding at Stonyford. This is a national forest area with a ton of trails.

The trip was going well until we got about 45 minutes away and the truck started acting up. I think the transmission was slipping??

We decided to continue after it started running fine again.

Left is a picture heading into the mountains. If you click on the picture I think it will enlarge and you can see a trail going up the middle of the mountain. This is crackerbox trail.

The campground was packed with RV's, probably more packed than I have ever seen it.

We arrived just fine and had a great ride. We rode about 30 miles which is not a ton, but they were quality miles. Here are some pictures from the day.

Most of these pictures are of a hill climb called white face. These pictures do no justice for how steep this hill is. It is a difficult hill. When my brother Scott was down for MLK weekend he made it up his first try. Pretty impressive. The single picture in the middle is Nolan going through a puddle and Cheryl following right behind. Well Cheryl got soaked with muddy water and ruined her shirt. Wouldn't be the first time that has happened.

Scott Troop checked our tranny oil before we left.

It checked out fine so we headed out. We made it back with no problems. I guess Nolan needs to get his truck into the Tranny shop. He just had it overhauled 2 moths ago.

Our cat had babies

Our cat Gracy had babies the other day.

They are pretty cute but they look like aliens.

The boys think they are realy cool. Gracy is not too protective and lets the boys pick them up.

None of us were expecting four kittens. Our neighbor wants one. Does anyone else want one..... or four!

A Diva is born!!

Corinna got a little bored, so she decided that Sasha should have her toenails painted while she slept. We have never seen anything so cute in our lives. I can see she is going to be an expensive kid.

Sasha's first Laugh

Here are a few pictures of Sasha on 2/6/2007 when she did her first laugh. Corinna was taking pictures of Sasha wearing her new outfit from Grandma Carol when Corinna thought she heard the baby laughing. She was not sure it was an actual laugh. Later on when she was changing her, Corinna gave her a little rasberry on the cheek and sure enough she laughed again. This time Jeff heard it from the bedroom. so Corinna got a few pictures.
